How to Choose the Correct Belt Size
Finding the right belt size is straightforward with either of these two reliable methods. Hongmioo belts are sized to the centre (third) hole, which gives you the most adjustability in both directions.
Method 1 — Based on Your Pants Size
Take Your Pants Size
If you wear size 36 pants for example.
Add 2 Inches
Order a size 38 belt. A belt that is 1–2 inches larger than your pants size is the most widely recommended rule. For example: pants size 36 → belt size 38; pants size 32 → belt size 34.
Why This Works
The belt wraps around your waist plus the buckle overlap. The "one size up" rule accounts for this extra length. Hongmioo belts sized this way will fit using the centre hole.
Method 2 — Measure an Existing Belt
Use a Belt You Already Own
Choose a belt that fits you well.
Measure from Buckle Fold to Your Hole
Measure from the point where the leather wraps around the buckle (the fold) to the hole you currently use most often.
Order That Measurement
If this distance is 42 inches, order a size 42 belt. Since Hongmioo belts are sized to the centre hole, a size 42 belt will measure 42" to the third or centre hole.
Fitting a belt to the centre hole is important — it gives you the most flexibility. You can go one hole tighter (for days with more layers) or one hole looser (for comfort after a meal).
Additional Tips
Between Sizes
Size up rather than down. A slightly longer belt can use a tighter hole. A too-short belt has no fix.
